Georgine B. Sahetapy
Georgine graduated from University of Indonesia, Faculty of Law in 2013, majoring in private law. In 2017, she obtained her master degree from Institute for Law and Finance, Goethe-Universitaet, Frankfurt, Germany, majoring in international finance law. During this period she also had the chance to work as an intern in one of the international law firm.
In 2013, she joined HHR before she continued her study formaster degree in 2016. Then, in 2018 she joined HHR as an Associate and attached to Commercial Dispute Resolution practice group in which she had involved in several cases and matters with exposure in working directly with the Partners in the firm as well as attending court proceedings, with exposure to several on and off-court litigation matters of foreign and international clients, as well as bankruptcy and insolvency matters.

In Commercial Dispute Resolution works, she has involved in various domestic litigation as well as insolvency proceedings such as representing (i) a multinational oil and gas company and a palm oil plantation company in default claims against one of its subcontractor (both won an first stage at District Court level); (ii) assisting one of the biggest cable television company in Indonesia in a tort case of tax fraudulence against its shareholders; (iii) representing a national company on a dispute regarding its distribution license of an international cosmetic brand against the Indonesian Food and Medicine Body in a State Administrative Court; and (iv) representing an international Swiss-based bank in various bankruptcy and/or insolvency proceedings and its subsequent liquidation process.
In Corporate & Investment works, she has involved in various matters, such as assisting an oil plantation company in establishing its new foreign investment company, and in merger and acquisition works, she had involved in the acquisition of several palm oil plantation company in East Borneo by one of the largest cigarette company in Indonesia as well as assisting a multinational oil and gas company in acquiring 4 (four) plots of land in Balikpapan, South Borneo.
In Capital Market works, she acted as supervisor in a legal due diligence for a right issue of a Malaysian-based poultry company.
